The Victorian Feast
The Revolutionary Feast
The Revolutionary Feast is a spoof of the traditional American officers mess dinner set in New England at the end of the War of Independence. The premise demands that all in attendance are officers in good standing in the Massachusetts Light Infantry. This is reinforced by the distribution of various ranks to each individual present. This ranking system becomes the foundation for the hilarity that ensues as the entire meal is run according to the "Rules and Regulations for Officer Decorum While at Mess." These rules, humorously enforced by the commanding general and his staff create the basis for a variety of events that neatly weave their way through the service of the meal.
Come and drink deeply of the laughter, song and dance that characterize a proper (we use the term quite loosely) Irish Wake. This uproarious interactive comedy dinner show is just the thing to lift your spirits and rest assured there will be plenty of spirits to go around as glasses are lifted in honor of our dearly departed. Dinner with The Mafia! - Scarpato's Restaurant, Coney Island, 1931
This dinner is set at the height of prohibition. This was the heyday of the Mafia. There were over four hundred gang related murders a year in Chicago alone at this time . Your dinner is in the comparative safety of a cosy Italian restaurant on Coney Island but beware Machine Gun' Jack McGurn is on the loose. So watch your back!
Guests are welcomed into the function room which is decorated to suit the theme. Live entertainment continues throughout the meal in the form of actors, music and specialty entertainers such as magicians, jugglers, dancers and... well whatever suits the theme.
The cast of actors are eating with the guests and is recommended to have food and setting to suit the period.
Guests can be encouraged to dress in costume - anything to set the environment.
Why, we even once did a sort of Zoological Theme Dinner Party in an underground aquarium at Sea World in San Diego . Is your company/venue looking for a Politically Correct show? Or does your group prefer something a little wilder? Is there a particular time in history you would like to travel to?
Let us know and maybe we can cook up the right Theme Dinner Party for your group's tastes!
